Minamas Plantation Breaks the Fast Together to Strengthen Synergy with Stakeholders and Orphans (photo/ist) PEKANBARU – Minamas Plantation, through its subsidiaries, PT Aneka Intipersada and PT Aneka Sumbermakmur, hosted an iftar celebration for stakeholders and orphans in Pekanbaru City on Wednesday (12/3/2025). This event is proof of the company's commitment to strengthening relationships, especially with members of the press, local government, as well as appreciation for the cooperation that has been established. This event was attended by a number of important figures, including the Head of the Forest Plant Seed Technical Implementation Unit of the Riau Province Environment and Forestry Service, Dewi Susanti, Chair of the Riau Indonesian Journalists Association, Raja Isyam Azwar, as well as media colleagues throughout Riau. Apart from that, the management of Minamas Region, North Riau, Aceh (RUA) and Jakarta were also present. This event also invited orphans from the Indonesian Orphan Friends Dormitory. On that occasion, Shahrizal Suhainy, Regional CEO of North Riau Aceh, underlined the need of collaboration between enterprises and stakeholders in order to continue to serve society. “I am confident that with the cooperation and strong determination of the Minamas extended family as well as all stakeholders and media partners, God willing, our future together will be better, and the existence of Minamas Plantation will be increasingly beneficial for all,” said Shahrizal Suhainy. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Riau Indonesian Journalists Association, Raja Isyam Azwar, also appreciated Minamas' role in disseminating educational information to the public, especially regarding the palm oil industry. "We really appreciate the existence of companies like Minamas Plantation as partners in disseminating educational information, especially regarding sustainable palm oil cultivation, fertilizer use and palm oil maintenance,” said Raja Isyam. “Apart from that, palm oil companies like Minamas also play a role in creating jobs for the community,” he continued. Separately, Dewi Susanti, Head of the Forest Plant Seed Technical Implementation Unit of the Riau Province Environment and Forestry Service, emphasized the significance of unity at the ceremony. "Holding this fast breaking activity with stakeholders is not only an event of togetherness, but also strengthens the synergy between the government, industry players and other related parties. With this togetherness, we can provide the best to the people of Riau,” she said. Apart from strengthening relationships with stakeholders, Minamas Plantation also emphasizes its commitment to social and environmental aspects. “With the spirit of Care to Nourish, Dare to Flourish - Caring Wholeheartedly, Developing Continuously, Minamas as one of the leading palm oil producers is committed not only to operations, but also to providing a positive impact on society, especially in Riau and Aceh,” added Shahrizal Suhainy. Throughout 2024, Minamas Plantation has allocated funds of around IDR 2.5 billion for various corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the Aceh and Riau regions. Some of the CSR programs that have been implemented include the School Development Program and school operational assistance, assistance in honorariums for teachers and mosque imams, assistance for sacrificial animals and basic necessities for underprivileged communities, and free health services, including treatment facilities at company clinics and ambulance services. Then, social activities such as blood donations and mass circumcisions, assistance to victims of disasters such as floods in Tamiang, controlling forest and land fires, successfully handling 23 fire hotspots in North Riau and Aceh. Apart from social contributions, Minamas Plantation has also received various awards, including five Blue Proper and one Blue Proper for Peat from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, as a form of commitment to sustainable environmental management. In his speech, the Minamas Plantation management representative emphasized that the sustainability of this social and environmental program cannot be separated from the support of all stakeholders.
